This week in the riveting English 5 class we had a serious in class discussion about the virtues and convictions of the ever controversial subject of pornography, hang on… let me cover some bases real quick, if you are not a fan of sarcasm and terrible humor skip this blog, hit up the next one, this blog is not for you, But for all of those easy going light hearted people who can take a joke and keep on ticking please read on! I’m not a fan of politics or pornography so this discussion is basically so far from my interests it was painful. When I think of politics all I can think of is a head ache with tons of opinionated people all yelling at each other trying to decide what topic they are going to argue about. And porn, well… it has its uses but as far as I’m concerned it’s a bastardization of a sacred and precious act between to people who are madly in love and have eyes only for them, the degradation of such a concept as making love and turning it into something most people do with whoever strikes their fancy and future be damned, you will be waking up to someone new soon anyways. Our in class discussion did reveal a few interesting concepts, the most interesting was the fact that almost everyone at the table accepted porn as a fact of life something that we have an ice cube’s chance in hell of ever changing, and we also accepted that the only real protecting that needs to be done is for our children, and in that aspect it’s the responsibility of the parents, not the government, to keep our kids free from such garbage till they can make their own decision about such things. Sorry this post wasn’t on the sarcastic side but I suck at political jokes because I just don’t care… and sex jokes seemed a little harsh, maybe next time!... the jokes, not the sex…
